Life time
Time meant nothing to Nant, only the journey was important and so ignoring the setting sun, explored the valley floor. With each discovery of rock, plant and animal, it learnt and honed the delicate skill of balanced give and take – shaping the landscape, supporting life. As the miles passed by, Nant was not alone, others joined the quest, imbuing it with speed, dexterity and power. Môr will be proud of my journey, thought Nant and leaving a sliver of silver to mark its journey, meandered off into the night.
Sat on an overlook I contemplated the sunset. Every day has one. The sun always sets whether you see it or not and rises again in the morning to complete a transition from one day to the next – a heartbeat of earth-time. To the stream below it, day and night mean nothing; its life is a constant flow of exploration, learning, and growth regardless of time. It’ll get there when it gets there!
